Nest E Test Failing (Wiring Compatibility Issue)

Hello all. I attempted to wire up my Nest E today. After installing according the the wiring diagram that was generated, I got no response from any of the test modes. Fan wouldn't work, no cool or heating. I can provide here a photo of the wiring harness as it was before removing the old thermostat, and I have since reinstalled the old thermostat and it is working with no issue now.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

What system do you have? Do you have a heat pump or a conventional one? Let me know and I'll be glad to take a look into this further.
