Hey gOOs,

Sorry to hear about your Nest Sensors but thanks for posting on the Google Nest Community.

Sometimes a range issue or wireless interference can cause your sensor to disconnect from your thermostat and appear offline on your Nest app. If this happens, try the suggestions below:

Move your sensors a bit closer to your thermostat. Sometimes they may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if they're just a bit too far away.
Restart your router.
Check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the sensor and your thermostat. These items could block the connection. For more help, read Troubleshooting wireless interference.
Check the battery charge.

All three of my sensors went offline also, simultaneously. These sensors are of course in different locations and have not moved. Your solutions seem to be geared more-so towards a single sensor randomly going offline. Is there an underlying cause that you can share on why 3 sensors would go offline at the same time?

Hi - I solved the issue by removing the sensors from the thermostat, deleting the thermostat, and resetting it then re-installing the thermostats and sensors. If they go offline simultaneously it is not a local issue..

I have seen this factory reset issue proposed as a solution in several places; unfortunately, I have also seen at least one example from @Raffi30 of where the problem happened again after performing what amounts to a full factory reset... I will continue to look for an alternative solution... Maybe it is time for me to upgrade to a WiFi6 router...

Got the same issue, all 3 sensors went offline at the same time. I've tried all suggestion remove/reset/re-install..etc still no luck. I've contacted Nest support, till tier-2 support still no luck. They decided to send replacement for me... now waiting for the new sensors.

This just happened on my WiFi 6e router system. It’s the Nest product. They’re inconsistent and stop working randomly and the well-intentioned “move the sensors a little closer” solution is insulting, in my opinion. That’s NOT the solution when you ah e 6 that work perfectly fine and then one day, they ALL go offline simultaneously.

A2Landlord I've been struggled with this issue for while and finally got them all working as of last three weeks ago. I have 4 thermostats and 3 sensors.

1st thermostats -> I've asked for a replacement -> they did replace -> worked

2nd, 3rd and 4th thermostats -> still can't connect to any of sensors -> I've asked to replace them all -> no replacement, but they did something on their backend/server -> restarted -> worked..

Something happened at their servers there, they didn't explain me well.

All 3 of my sensors went offline simultaneously as well. I removed the sensors, deleted my thermostat and reset it back to factory. I then added the sensors back. Worked fine for about 3 days and now they are all offline again.

UPDATE -

I contacted GoogleNest support and they had an easy step that fixed my problem without having to reset to factory.

Go into your thermostat setting and all the way at the end is RESET, click the ring to navigate to RESTART. That brought all my sensors back on line. Quick and easy!!

I have had the same problem repeatedly. The simple reset does not fix the problem. I’ve had to do the full factory reset and then within 2 to 3 days all three sensors go off line again simultaneously. This is obviously a product problem and it appears that Google is not willing to fix the issue. I most definitely will be looking at the ecobee or other smart thermostat. Google will continue to Get a thumbs down rating from me

I have the same issue. All 3 of my sensors went offline at different times and I have did the same steps you described and nothing, and app says batteries are ok
