Sadly these requests fall on deaf ears I'm afraid. When I made this request a few weeks ago I got a nice reply with a supposed solution which completely missed the target. I would like some explanation of why they are so reluctant to offer this but they've had plenty of time. My nest is going but what to buy? The review sites don't seem to be based on actual use they just look down a list of features. I emailed and spoke to an outfit called heatable who recommended if you couldn't be bothered to read their long review just buy a nest. When I spoke to the guy he'd never used a nest. The main contenders seem to need a bridge near your router a no-no for me. In a month or so the missus will be asking me to pop the heating on for a hour. Last year it wasn't a big issue if I forgot about it but this year with the price of oil.....

Yet another repeat request to Google , that I am sure will be ignored.

Google making huge profits

Energy firms making huge profits

Consumer facing cost of living crisis

Google still choose to ignore request for heating boost function on nest thermostat, this is now a necessity as every minute will count when the heating is on ( or accidentally left on if you have turned it up , as no boost)

A boost function will allow heating to be on for a set period e.g. 1 hour, which I suggest may be all some people will be able to afford

Come on Google give your customers some support

May be cheaper in the end to pay for a replacement product, that does offer a boost given the potential saving,
