Hi Kt38238,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

Getting an error message saying that it's offline could mean it is no longer connected to your Wi-Fi due to battery draining issues. Do you have a common (C) wire connected to your Nest Thermostat? You could try to remove the Nest Thermostat display and plug it in to a USB and wait for it to charge for at least a couple of hours.

Let us know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Hi, having an issue! The Nest thermostat (round and white) stopped showing on its screen for a few minutes, only showing a Google symbol and on the app said “power out and error”. The thermostat suddenly started working again however the app is still error and power out. Is this something other people are experiencing also and that the company is working on? We tried to troubleshoot. Also, cannot contact anyone to help.

Addendum: it no longer says power out on our phones, it says error.

Another addendum, no longer says error, now it says offline, lol.
