Setup of a Nest Learning Thermostat

I have ‘ITEM’ T3017US, and the only mode it has is HEAT, no Cool or Fan. My system is a Carrier 2 wire system. Where should the red and black wires be set?

I am sorry that presently do not have a picture. However, there are only two (2) wires that are connected to a Carrier T3017US thermostat.
