Nest thermostat woes

Bought a house earlier this year and have continued growing my smart home. I just installed nest thermostats (upstairs and downstairs) and now my home isn't cooling. I THINK my issue is replacing vivint thermos with the nest thermos and not having the original wiring. But I'm not sure where to go from here. I need to know what type of system I have and the original wiring. I am attaching a picture and you can kinda see a blue and brown wire within the hole and those weren't used on the vivint system. Makes me wonder now if my system is compatible after getting this far into it. Any help is appreciated.

I feel like I'm asking a stupid question because the nest thermostat is round. 🧐 However it's better to ask versus assuming and be wrong. 😉

Have you tried contacting vivant? I know the two products work together and they help install additional smart devices via phone. (sometimes)

Okay, I'd start here and\or phone nest support. I forgotten there's tones of variables with this task. And I would hate to send you down the wrong path.

How did you wire the Nest thermostat?

Do you have the same problem upstairs and downstairs?

Do you have two separate systems on one system with a zone controller?

Thank you for the follow-up. I have done some more digging into finding my thermostats original wiring diagram and found out I may need to get the learning thermostat. Unfortunately have also had to put the thermostat swap on hold also as my wife and deal with some wonderful Navy adventures. Thanks again for asking.
