Regarding Humidity Accuracy and Alerts to Mobile

I recently got a Nest Thermostat. I understand it displays Humidity. Excess Humidity causes issues in the house (e.g. Mold, Attic rain etc.).
What is the error of measurement - i.e. Accuracy of Measurement of Humidity?

Can I set Humidity to send Notifications to my Mobile? Can it send email alerts? These is required when I am remotely monitoring humidity of the house....say from Workplace.

Any help will be much appreciated. If this feature is in different Nest product, then also please let me know.

Hey there Nitin-Bhatt,

I apologize for the late response; thank you for being patient! Were you able to find out those humidity questions? If not, I'd be happy to help out! First, I would recommend you check out two articles, the first about cool to dry, and the other about humidifier compatibility. There shouldn't be any variance in the humidity reading; it should be accurate to the room that the Thermostat is in. At the moment, I don't see a way for you to receive notifications of excess humidity, but you are able to check the humidity from the mobile app.

Yes. I did. Regrettably I wanted to know accuracy of humidity in +/- percentage e.g 1% or 2%.... or whatever it is. Still looking for that information.

Thanks for being here in the Google Nest Community.

Like what Jeran has mentioned, at the moment, we don't have a way for you to receive notifications of excess humidity, but you are able to check the humidity from the Google Home app or the Nest Thermostat display.

We'll take this as feedback to improve our product and services.

Thanks for asking. Even if you wanted to help you can't as currently the feature is not available in nest thermostat. I wanted a notification in my mobile or an email for humidity outside of comfort zone.

Maybe if there is more voices demanding this, someone at Google may listen.

Check my request and Ryan's reply above. Wonder why Google cannot add this feature!!!

Ever faced high humidity issue in a residence? It creates mold, is detrimental to the health of the inhabitants, can result in thousands of $$$ expense etc etc...probably that's why they are not adding that feature - but they can always attach a disclaimer and legal wordings against claims.

I think community members should join in requesting this feature!!!
