Thanks Edward, may I suggest integrating the sensors into the existing daily scheduler? If sensors exist, add a combo box to select which sensor to use for that temperature setting. Doing so would eliminate the feature currently used to manage.

Is there a way to set the thermostat to use a sensor for heating/cooling for weekdays and an alternate sensor on the weekend? This would be convenient for work from home offices.

Hi Quinault,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. Are you asking if your Nest Thermostat could use a remote sensor for a different room? If so, you could look into the Nest Temperature Sensor. Please click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

Hello, and thank you for your response.

I’m currently using one of my sensors to manage the climate in a basement room that I use as a remote office Monday through Friday. The settings allow me to use an alternate sensor to manage the master bedroom which is on the upper floor. Unfortunately, the tool does not allow to to manage it by day of week which makes it necessary to go into the app to manually change the sensor to the master bedroom on weekend mornings. I hope that makes sense

-Chuck Farley
