Compatibility to Honeywell

Hi-
Is my current system compatible to somewhat easily install a Nest thermostat? The compatibility checker didn’t help me.

The only wires connected are labeled as Data, R, C but there is a mess of other wires that don’t appear to be connected. Honeywell @9 yrs old.

My hope is that I’d just need to remove the current one and attach existing wires to the new one.

Pics are too small cannot see the connections.

Also need to see the wires connected at the system do they go to a terminal strip on the furnace?

What kind of system is this a heat pump with AC or a gas furnace with AC?

Is this a Trane brand system?
