Can I set my Nest E schedule on a windows 10 PC

Can I install the Google Nest app on my windows 10 PC? It said I can on a few websites but can't see the download.

It's only to set my schedule as the phone app I find very fidgety and my eyes arent that great.

No I'm afraid. The Google Nest app is only available for mobile devices (Android, iOS). To change the temperature schedule, you'll either need to use the Nest app, or change it on the thermostat itself.

With all respect to @David_K , I have to say that it should also be possible to control your Nest right in your browser on your PC, at home.nest.com. No app needed; just go to that website. That's what I have always done, for the exact reasons you mention. I do use the Nest app on my phone when I'm on vacation, to check that it's working OK or to switch the Nest into or out of Eco mode, but I've never tried to modify the schedule on that little screen.

Please note that I have a Learning model, not the E, and I've had it for several years. I don't know if things may have changed so that somehow browser control isn't allowed for a new installation.

@David_K , could you please comment, explain, or clarify? Thank you.

I don't have one personally, but to change the schedule, the help centre article advises to use the Nest app, or on the thermostat itself, if you see the help article I linked above?

Yes, I agree that any documentation I can find says to use the app and doesn't mention the browser, yet here I am at home.nest.com, controlling my Nest.

Help, please, from someone with knowledge of the current capabilities!

@EdwardT , are you confirming that it is no longer possible to control a newly-installed Nest from home.nest.com? If so, please find out when this functionality was taken away, and why. It seems so unnecessary to stop supporting this simple browser interface. It still works for previously-installed Nests; why not allow it for new ones?

Operating the Nest from my browser is considerably easier than on a tiny phone screen. Some people have tremor, while others of us just have clumsy fingers. Eyestrain from computer use is bad enough; why compound it by making people squint at the phone?

If, on the other hand, it is still possible to control a new Nest from the browser, please provide instructions.

Thanks for the response. I'm sorry for the confusion. The Nest Web App should still work with newly installed Nest devices. You should also be able to set a schedule using the web app.

The word "app" seems misleading, as there's no download -- it says you still just go to home.nest.com, as I've been doing. Also, the article is generic and doesn't mention thermostats at all, so I hope this works for you, @Seany .
