Hello jacqrhea,

I'm sorry if you have to go through this. We'd like you to have a better experience with your new Nest thermostat. Let's see what's going on.

Please give these steps a try:

Remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent.

You'll see a USB port at the back. Try charging it via a micro USB cable for at least an hour.

Wait until it turns on and if an LED light flashes

Make sure all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires).

Put the display back to base.

Proceed with the initial set up and check for any wiring reports.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

We just installed our new google nest e following all steps. We connected all wires where they should go and made sure it clicked. We turned on our power source and the thermostat is unresponsive. It’s not turning on, it’s not blinking lights. Not sure what to do?
