Nest Thermostat not turning on heat on app

My Nest thermostat worked fine all last winter,

Now when i try to turn the water on of turn up the room temp on the app, it does not send this to the thermostat, so the boiler does not turn on, sometimes it just says "offline"

The thermostat itself works OK and if you spin the wheel it will turn on the boiler, and then the app will turn orange like it is heating,

But I cannot turn up temp from the app and it starts the boiler, only from the thermostat, any ideas or suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with controlling your Nest Thermostat using your app. To isolate the issue, could you try removing the Nest Thermostat from the app and pairing it again? I do that and it works for a day or so, but then stops working again and app wont control the nest, not sure the exact period when it stops, but I have removed and added the thermostat to the app, and working, so i will test later and tomorrow and let you know when it has stopped working

Thanks for the update. I'd love to know more about this. When the Nest Thermostat goes offline in the app, could you check if the Nest Thermostat itself disconnect from the Wifi?

Hi Edward,

Sorry for delay,

So when the app goes offline the thermostat is fully online and working, just something between it and the app not working, and when the app shows as online and you turn up the temp or turn on the water it does not turn on the boiler,

If i remove the app from thermostat and then reconnect it, it will work for a few days and then stop again,
