    <description>&lt;P&gt;Mrbrownskie, &amp;nbsp;sometimes the electrical thermistors can go bad. &amp;nbsp;We see this in the HVAC world from time to time. A Thermistor is an electrical resistive device that is very precise. The resistance changes with temperature and from time to time resistive element will short out. &amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is wishing you much happiness with your newest Nest Learning Thermostat.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My Nest temperature sensor is consistently showing -337 degrees F. I have pulled the battery, checked the connection, etc. and it's still showing -337.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any advice?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;One of the &amp;nbsp;temperature thermistors has shorted out. The Nest Thermostat will need to be replaced.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks. Wound up just buying a new unit... bummer. Not sure how something with no moving parts breaks but it is what it is. At least it's not too expensive to replace.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
