Thermostat won’t connect

Hi I’ve just moved in and I have a nest thermostat I have just downloaded the app and want to add the product it says it’s linked to another account even if I reset it so I’ve not added a key code yet to my app

Hopefully you can get a hold of the sellers and have them take the following action.

To give a device to another person, follow the instructions below. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, make sure you cancel your subscription

Open the Google Home app
Touch and hold your device's tile.
Tap Settings > Remove Device > Remove.
Perform a factory reset. A factory reset will reset your thermostat, doorbell, or camera to its default factory settings.

Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

@Caz1980, I was hoping you would be able to do the steps being shared. It'll help you unlink from the previous account and associate it with your account. Also, here's your guide on how to setup a Nest thermostat.
