When I take my thermostat off, it has a 120/240v module and then a 24v face unit. Will Nest work for the 24v face unit?

Hello srbtya,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

High voltage systems typically have a thermostat that is labeled 120 V or 240 V. High-voltage systems, such as electric baseboard heaters, aren’t compatible with Nest thermostats. In some cases, it’s possible that your system can be made Nest thermostat-compatible. Contact a local pro and have them install a step-down transformer to 20–30 V.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Thanks,

Mark

Thank you for replying back. I need to setup an appointment with an electrician. But reading the manual, it says that my thermostat does have a transformer

Hey srbtya,

I am glad to hear you are going to have an electrician come out. If you do have a transformer, the HVAC professional should be able to set up the device for you as well, and ensure everything is working properly. Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look.

Best regards,
