I have two zones and am trying to add a second thermostat. Doesn’t let me set it up

This is a community forum where most replies come from other customers. I can't tell what happens when you say "Doesn't let me set it up" means, so below is a link to the Google Nest Help "Install your Nest thermostat" page.

If you have the Google Nest Thermostat, it installs in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app (and then does NOT appear in the Google Nest app). In contrast, the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat get installed in the Google Nest app but then automatically also appear in the Google Home app.

I'm just another Google Nest customer, passing on what I know about Google Nest's 2-app solution.
