topic cannot stop fan in Nest Thermostats

I have a new Learning Thermostat. I have a wire connected to the "G" terminal. I need a way to stop the fan. I have set the heating system to hot water and the fan should not be on. Sometimes a "stop"
button is available on the app but when I push it the clock resets to 15 minutes and the fan continues. I'm freezing with the cold air blowing around my head. How do you stop this???
