Wiring Compatibility Vive

Google, during setup and while checking compatibility, advised that I upload a photo to confirm compatibility. I think there is some confusion as to whether I have a heat pump. This system works off of our main electric, we do not have gas or furnace. A basic florida home with electric.

Current thermostat is: VIVE TP-S-855C

Must be a heat pump since you have the O orange wire.

Just connect wires the same as the old T stat but do not use a jumper wire just connect red to Rc.

If it does not run AC in AC mode you might have to alter the O/B wire settings after the installation. Try the default first and confirm you have heat and AC.

Thanks! Everything is wired now. The nest module is plugged in, started up, but now it’s a blank screen with a flashing green/orange light at the top. My understanding is that that means that it’s charging — does this sound correct? At current, I’m at a standstill.

Could be updating the software did you get to the point where you put the WiFi info so it could connect to the internet?
