&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To manually recover a locked Nest Thermostat that has been disconnected from Wi-Fi or has no access in the Nest App. Resetting it to its default settings might be needed, but this will lose all the saved settings and the &lt;A href="https://goo.gle/3VpxpEG" target="_blank"&gt;settings learned&lt;/A&gt; by the thermostat. To do this, follow the steps here:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Remove the thermostat display from its base.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Insert the USB cable into the USB port on the back of the thermostat display, and attach the thermostat display to a computer (Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS) with the use of the USB cable.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Locate and open the folder or icon for the Nest device that should appear on the computer screen.
  &lt;OL&gt;
   &lt;LI&gt;Look for the file named "technicalinfo.PLIST.&lt;/LI&gt;
  &lt;/OL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please let us know if you found it and what kind of computer you're using.&lt;/P&gt;
