Manual heat setting with no Internet connection

I do not yet have Internet or Wi-Fi at my house and must know how to manually set this heat on the thermostat. I've made several attempts with no success.

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd love to help.

You can program the Nest Thermostat initially to be controlled manually, even without connecting to the Nest App or to the Wi-Fi network. Please follow the steps here:

For the Nest Thermostat (2020):

Proceed with the initial setup in the Google Home app.
When you get to the section about choosing your network, force close the Google Home app while the thermostat is attempting to connect.
Wait for 2 minutes, then remove the thermostat display from its base and disconnect the batteries for at least 3 minutes to restart.
Put the batteries back in and attach the display back to its base.
You should be routed to the temperature page, where you can adjust the temperature.

For the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

In the thermostat setup screen. Complete the first two options.
Select "not now" for the Nest App and then continue.
Skip the Internet connection part.
Follow the rest of the options to configure your system.

I have my heat set to 68°. The thermostat never stops. It constantly runs. I don’t know how to adjust this, and I don’t understand what echo means.

As you can understand, it is way too costly to have my heat running around the clock. I am more familiar with air conditioning, where it cuts on and off. Please advise.

I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on and why it blows heat constantly.

I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring? Also, could you check if there are temperature schedules created? If so, please clear all the schedules and restart your thermostat.
