I am trying to set my Nest ap on my iPhone to allow for critical drops in temperature while I am away. Once through the Settings to Notifications, nothing is listed for me to select other than, Nest Home Report....which isn't what I need. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi therapizer,

Thanks for reaching out. If the room temperature drops below or above the set Safety Temperatures, and your Nest thermostat automatically starts heating or cooling, you’ll get a notification sent to your phone, as well as a message in the Nest app or an event in the Home app’s Feed. Once temperatures return to normal levels, another notification will let you know. You can also click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

Hi therapizer1,

Thanks for the response. You’ll receive an alert if Google Nest has identified a time when your heating system didn’t appear to be working. It identifies heating failures by monitoring changes in your indoor temperature while your system is heating. If those changes are different than what Google Nest expects, you'll be receiving an alert. You can click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,
