Does the “Nest thermostat’ not the E or 3rd generation. Just the one that is listed as a Nest Thermostat, has 2 AAA batteries in it work with a 2 wire gas fired steam boiler.

@Jsharpe, I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. The Nest Thermostat (2020) often requires a C wire to work, though there are cases where it might not be needed but it works better if it does.
