Is there a software problem with the latest release? I was having trouble the fan running all the time. I replaced our old nest thinking it might be a hardware issue. Installed the new thermostat and ran new wires. It worked fine all day yesterday, but the software updated and now the fan is constantly running again.

I have a heating contractor scheduled for next week but it seems like it may be software and not a furnace problem. Is this a known issue?

Hi Schick00,

Thanks for posting here in the community and bringing this issue to our attention. Based on the information you've shared, replacing the Nest Thermostat won't resolve the issue. Also, there's no known issue about the fan that won't activate after an update. Try removing the display and check if the fan won't stop. If it doesn't stop that means there's a problem with the fan wire and It would be better if your HVAC technician checked it.

Regards,
Emerson
