Nest thermostat will not connect with Verizon wifi

We just installed a Nest Thermostat. It will not connect with wifi nor will it work independently so we can adjust heat.

is the wifi 5G? sometimes products have trouble connecting with 5G settings. try the other mode if available and make sure ur apps to control the device is all connecting to same wifi network.

The wifi is 2.4
