I just got a new nest and found that I have a rc and rw wire but I only have heat in my home. No ac can I connect to my nest ?

Rc is red for the cooling system aka AC

Rh is red for the heating system

So are there actually 2 red wires coming from the wall, or is there a jumper wire on the old tstat connecting Rh and Rc?

What other wires do you have?

Post a pic of old tstat wiring.
