How do I get my thermostat to light up all the time like it used to because now it only lights up when someone walks by it?

I think the display on Nest thermostats only turns on when you're within 3 feet or so of the thermostat:

I can't remember how I got it to turn on permanently but I had it set to turn on all the time but now it only turns on when someone walks by it?

Yes but I can't get the display to stay on all the time. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know if it's a good idea to have the thermostat's display on all the time.
