A simple question (I hope):

How do I set thermostat to go on at 68° and off at 72°?

This seems to be a simple enough question. I'm just looking for a simple answer or is there no easy way to do this?

Nest Thermostat 1.4

Hi Passageyank,

Thanks for reaching out. I would suggest setting your Nest Thermostat in Heat - Cool mode. Your system will either heat or cool to try to keep your home within the temperature range you’ve manually set. You can also click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

I have the same question and unable to find the answer. My heat is set to 65. The heater comes on at my morning comfort time and heats to 65, then shuts off. Minutes later the temp drops to 64 and it kicks back on again for a few minutes, then off and on and off and on every few minutes alllllll day. How do I set it to heat to perhaps 67, then shut off until it drops to 62, and then heat to 67?

Basially I need to switch the "hold temperate" to be a "hold range" but this doesn't seem to be an option. Any advice?

Hi Rodrigs,

Thanks for letting us know. The option that would work with this is the Heat - Cool mode since you can set a range for the temperature. I understand that having an option to set a range for the heating option. Our team is always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.

Thanks,
