My thermostat which is a honeywell have two wires

Red Wire: R ( with jumper R to RC)

Black Wire : W

Can I use the Google Nest 2020 on two wires without using C wire or a Google Nest power adaptor?

Google nest 2020 have only W and R

Google Nest 3rd Gen have W , RC and RH

You do not use any jumpers on the Nest or any of the new smart Tstats.

You would use R and W and C if you can run a new thermostat wire to the system this is the best way to get a C wire. You can buy the thermostat cable at Home depot or Lowes etc use 5 conductor cable.

Or use a power adapter if you dont want to run the new cable.

The Nest Learning might work without a C wire but no guarantee.

All the new smart thermostats work much better with an actual C wire connected.
