Home freezing when i got home

We left for the weekend. Our Nest is programmed for when we are away to not use so much energy. However, I didn’t realize it basically meant it would be turned off if we left. We returned home after being gone for 54 hours and it was 49 degrees in the house!!! We ended losing a few fish in a tank where the heater malfunctioned. But I never expected the heat to simply not work when gone. How do I adjust it?

Thanks for reaching out — we'd be happy to help.

The Nest Thermostat will follow your Eco temperature when no one's home. Have a look at this guide:

Select your thermostat on the Nest app home screen.
Tap Settings. in the top right corner of the screen.
Select Home/Away Assist
Tap on Eco Temperatures to set the temperature range.
To adjust the range, drag the slider.
