Nest app offline

My Nest app has been mostly offline for around a week now - sometimes it comes back online briefly but then goes off again.

The app is fully updated. I have tried switching my phone off and on again. My Nest thermostat is working fine and connected to my internet.

How can I get the app online?

Great troubleshooting so far. To cover all the bases, please give these steps a try:

Remove the Nest Thermostat manually on the Nest App.
Uninstall and reinstall the Nest app.
Reset your thermostat to account connection.
Re-connect your thermostat to the network.
Add your thermostat to your account.
