OK this took me about 4 hours to figure out.... When they say your Google HOME account make sure it's the Google account that has the same colors as Google but it shaped like a house not the G shaped account but the one shaped like a house... If you don't see it download Google HOME Shaped like a house. Once Signed in on the very top it will say apartment or house Once you click on that look for [rooms/groups] click that, delete everything under house or everything under apartment This will remove all those unnecessary names in your nest app.. Even delete the one that says home. When readding the thermostat to the app Make sure you do not create a new home name.. it should start off with the QR scan screen... then take it from there...
