Nest learning thermostat connects to an oil boiler with Carlin ProX 70200 burner

Nest learning thermostat replaced the original old thermostat that controls the oil boiler for heating only. Only two wires used: W1 and RH. Pretty straightforward. And it did bring up the oil boiler and burner successfully after install, if I set the temp 2 degree above the current room temp, and the screen turned orange indicating heat is working.

However, after installation, the burner sometimes started itself (and the boiler) even when the current temp is 2 degrees above the setting temp. While the boiler was generating heat, the nest app screen did NOT turn orange, which means the nest didn't ask it to work or think it's working. But the burner did get a T-T jump signal to trigger its start. I think its T1 and T2 terminals are connected to W1 and RH in the thermostat.

I have turned off all smart features and all schedules, but the burner still irregularly kicked itself off and started working. What's the cause of this issue? Not compatible with the Nest thermostat?

It's a very simple setup for an oil burning steam heat furnace that is also providing hot water to the house- 2 wires, W1 and RH.

I should note that the Nest was working fine with the previous control unit for over a year.

I just replaced the Nest with the simple Honeywell thermostat that I was using before I installed the Nest and everything is working fine, so the Carlin appears to be functioning as expected.

I too would like to see the answer. I have the same Carlin unit and my furnace does not shut off. I do get an error for no power to RH.
