I have trying to trouble shoot this for a long while now. I have forced air in a condo. Changed the Nest and installed - all worked well - UNTIL my wifi router had to be changed - then the heat and cool reversed. To get heat, have to have in cool mode and raise temp. If in cool mode and inside temp triggers the thermostat - we get heat when thermostat at its max 32C. Who wants more heat. To get AC must be in heat mode and turn up to get cool to run and not shut off. Have factory reset the thermostats numerous times, nothing has changed with wringing since original install. Not sure where to go from here and Don't want to have to go buy something new that is not a NEST. HELP

If this is a heat pump system the O/B wire changes the system to heat and ac mode. You can change the output of the ob wire in the settings to fix this.

Not true. I did the wiring. It worked as indicated. When wifi router changed and I reconnected the thermostats it became clear the devices were working in reverse. Nothing else changed. Suspect it's a Nest Flaw. Even when factory reset. And reconnecting. It's remains the same.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'm sorry for the delay.

If your system starts to blow cool air when your Nest thermostat is in Heat mode (or if it blows warm air when it's in Cool mode), change the settings for orientation of your heat pump.

You can try the steps below:

Nest Thermostat

Open the Home app.

Tap your thermostat.

At the top right, tap Settings.

Select Thermostat.

Scroll until you find Heat pump. It should show which wire configuration is currently selected.

If the O option is highlighted, select B.

If the B option is highlighted, select O.

Nest Learning Thermostat and Thermostat E

On your thermostat, go to Settings.

Select Equipment.

Select Continue.

Select Heat Pump.

The Nest Thermostat defaults to an O setting for heat pumps.

If the O option is highlighted, select B.

If the B option is highlighted, select O.

I appreciate your help, @Houptee and @WalkGood.

You misunderstand. I mean for you to manually bypass the thermostat and connect the appropriate wires together to make your ac turn on.
