topic Furnace short cycling even when I set my thermostat to off in Nest Thermostats

Hi I have had my Nest thermostat installed for almost a year now and have not had any problems. Today I noticed that my furnace was cycling on and off in short intervals. I had it set to heat at 68 and cool at 72 since we are in that springtime when the temp outside fluctuates so much. When i noticed it I went ahead and just shut the thermostat off thinking it needed to reset. The furnace was still short cycling even when I had the thermostat set to off. I also did a restart on the thermostat. I turned off the furnace and reset the breaker. I also checked the filter and it was ok. I then read something about the Nest may need to be charged. So right now I have everything off and I took the Nest off the wall and have it charging. If this doesn't fix the problem what could it be?

Which Nest thermostat do you have?

How is it wired?

Can you post a picture of its wiring?

actually when I waited like 1-/2 hours and put Nest back up and set to heat I turned Furnace back on and it heated to temp and then turned off twice now. It seems to be working now

fingers crossed it stays that way

Hi. So far so good. Whatever I did stopped it from short cycling. Haven’t had any issues since. Knock on wood
