Testing went great but not it’s not turning on! It’s 64 in my house. No error code showing up. Fuse box is all good. Wiring is all good according to Nest. I don’t know what’s going on. The unit is only electric. I’ll include pics.

Do you have a heat pump type O heat pump and these types of heat pumps energize the O wire to get Cooling. O models are heating units so you don’t energize the reversing valve. Check your settings of your reversing valve and your nest thermostat equipment, submenu and see that you have a O type and not set up as a B type. Additionally, heat pumps usually use auxiliary heat on very cold days so your white wire should be in the W2/AUX terminal of the nest backplate.

I was looking at your pictures of your nest back plate and the problem is it doesn’t look like your yellow Y1 wire or your white W1 wire are fully inserted. The copper needs to go in far enough to cause the push tab in the back to stay down. Your yellow wire is not down. neither is your white wire.

With the heat pump, we normally recommend putting the R wire into Rc versus Rh. I’m not sure why, but when you have a heat pump, the compressor is always running. For some reason when we start to see some electrical E type errors, when we move from Rh to Rc we see them go away. It should not be that way, but for some reason it always seems to work.

You have a heat pump. The blue wire is terminated into the O terminal. Never go by the wire colors, as there is no standard.
