Hi HermanS,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I'd like to take a look at this for you.

A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? How often does your Nest Thermostat go offline? Does your Nest Thermostat show offline in the Nest or Google Home app or as indicated on the Nest device? Lastly, is the Wi-Fi router or access point within a reasonable range (1 to 15 meters) of between three and fifty feet from the Nest devices?

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

One of my thermostats when off-line. The other one, along with 31 other smart products in that home are all on-line. So the likely problem is that the voltage coming from my HVAC's air handler has derogated. In fact, in talking with nest, the last reading they had from that thermostat was that the voltage was low. Since I'm dealing with a connected product with a company knee deep in AI, wouldn't you think i could have received a notification of a pending shut down? That's a more significant event than the notices we do get on a filter change.

I'm just saying that Google would do much better if it had more customer centric product management.

Speaking of which, why wouldn't google home be the portal to gfiber? Kind of silly to have two apps, both dealing with our homes, both focused on connectivity, that don't connect!

I'm curious to fid out if anyone at google reads this stuff.
