Heat goes on every day to 72, but not on schedule

I have a nest thermostat (not sure the generation, maybe 2nd).. and a furnace. Even though I don’t have early on set up and I am not part of nest aware, and even though I don’t have it scheduled… every day at around 8am my heater turns on to 72 degrees and I don’t want it to. How can I stop this? What is causing it? Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

I appreciate you checking for possible settings that may trigger your thermostat to activate your system. Please check the Auto-schedule and ensure that it's disabled. Also, if you have a Google Home app, check the Routines and check for any thermostat action, then remove it.

Thanks.. I think it was that in a routine (that I forgot about) and which also set the temperature at some sort of threshold range and not the exact.l (for some reason it does that, not sure why)

I am still testing. But I think that was it!

Thanks. It works fine now. As I suspected the problem was that the thermostat adjustment was part of a google routine I had in the morning . I didn’t have it set at 72 in the routine but it somehow turned on higher than I set in the routine for some sort of threshold range. It has some algorithm for that which I don’t understand . I took the thermostat adjustment out of the routine and the problem went away. Thanks!
