You need to be careful, that might be High voltage wires. You need to check with a volt ohm meter.

yes I note it says it's 24-230V so I had that concern.

so much trouble to go to just to get a heater I can turn on and off remotely 😞

Hi Kulaak,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I see that your control panel has the non-standard labels of A, x, B, y, and C which means that your system is proprietary. Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.

Also, 24-230 V is too high voltage for Nest Thermostat already. It can lead to overcurrent that might damage both your Nest Thermostat and HVAC system so, you need to contact a local HVAC professional and have them install a step down transformer to 20 - 30 V.

Hi Dan. Thanks. I know my current Thermostat is literally just completing a circuit to turn on and off based on temp.

I just wish I knew for sure that wiring those wires in my current setup into R and W on the Nest Thermostat would do the same thing. My Thermostat is 24 - 230 so I know it's compatible in that regard. It's just a matter of where the wires plug in so it performs the on/off function I currently have.

@Kulaak, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. We strongly suggest a professional HVAC technician for the type of system you have because incorrect setup, either due to miswiring or wrong software settings, can cause weird HVAC behavior and even damage the system.
