Nest heating too long

I installed my Nest learning thermostat a week ago, and two days ago, when I turned the heat temp up a couple of degrees, the heater stayed on until my house reached the cool temp setting. I had adjust the cool setting to get it to stop heating and then the AC kicked on. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting that I have on which may have caused this?

Do you have a picture of the original thermostat wiring that you can post?

How did you wire the Nest?

Does it have a C wire installed

I do, but I guess the file size is too large to attach it. Yes, I wired it. It had a C, G, Y, O/B and R. I wired the Nest with Y1, G, OB, Rc, and C.

Does the current thermostat have two sets of labels for the terminal block?

@Ahhhna, I appreciate you sharing your thermostat's wiring. I did find a helpful article with some steps on how to change your heat pump's orientation. Once changed, restart your thermostat to refresh, give it another try to activate your system, and let us know if there are any changes.

Thanks, I did do that. This fixed the problem I had where it was cooling instead of heating, but this was something else.

Thanks for getting back to us. You can get the power readings on your actual thermostat by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
