    <description>&lt;P&gt;The heat stopped clicking on in my Thermostat E.&amp;nbsp; After various troubleshootings, I opened up the wiring base and see that a chip seems to have exploded (see image).&amp;nbsp; As a test, I hooked up my R-wire to Y (i.e., I hooked my heat up to the thermostat's A/C terminal).&amp;nbsp; The Y terminal does work, so that confirms to me that this blown up chip is the problem with the heat.&amp;nbsp; Is the base a warranty-replaceable part?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="2023-06-02 09_32_29-Photo - Google Photos.png" style="width: 606px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/25369i22F812D8ACD934BC/image-size/large/is-moderation-mode/true?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="2023-06-02 09_32_29-Photo - Google Photos.png" alt="2023-06-02 09_32_29-Photo - Google Photos.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
