How do I get my new nest thermostat to use the zip code from another city for more accurate outside temperatures? I live 8 miles outside the city that my zip code is associated with (unincorporated city life). I have another city much closer to where I live with much more similar temperatures.

Hi there,

Thanks for the follow up information. You have a Nest Thermostat 2020. You can change your thermostat address by going to Settings then Home Info in the Google Home app.

Jenelyn, thank you. I was able to make the change. It was a little odd but it worked. My actual address is now wrong for google home but I get a closer temperature match and was able to use the embedded map feature to ensure my nest knows physically where it is located. This would be great information for others that live far from their incorporated city.
