@andydydydy, if you have a heat pump the orange wire on W is controlling your heat pump. If you don’t have a heat pump, the orange wire is controlling your gas furnace.

Red Wire to Nest R or Rc; This is 24Vac Power In

Yellow Wire to Nest Y or Y1; this is Cooling

Blue Wire to Nest C; this is 24Vac Power Common

Black wire to Nest G; Blower Fan Relay

Orange wire to Nest W or W1; for Gas Furnace or the Orange wire to *OB for Heat Pump.
