Installing nest thermostat on Trane HVAC system

hello All

i have a newly installed Trane HVAC system. Wiring attached in the photo.

mu HVAC professional says I cannot install nest thermostat on it.

is this true?

Thanks for reaching out to us, and for showing interest towards our Nest Thermostats. I see that your control panel has the non-standard labels of N, L, M, and H which means that your system is proprietary.

Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. Also, Nest Thermostats are only compatible with solid copper wire thermostat wires, so if you want to switch to our Nest Thermostats, I recommend you contact our Pro Installer so that your system will be rewired to be compatible.
