Hi AlextheGr8,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

Is this a first-time installation and setup? If so, this might be because of the configuration during the process. To be sure, could you share your Nest Thermostat's wiring setup and your old thermostat's wiring? Also, please try switching the Temperature mode to Heat only and activating it to see if it works properly or vice versa.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

Why does my system start heating when I'm trying to cool? New AC with heat pump &. New basic Nest. The OB was added after the set up and not sure if it was done wrong. It cools on Stage 2. Once temperature is where I want it, and once I try to cool it more or set it higher so it won't turn on for a while, it starts to heat instead of cooling then after playing with it for a while it'll start to cool again. What can I do to fix this?

I don't want to be a nudge, but I'd like to check if you were able to get your thermostat working. Please let me know the details above so we can move forward.
