The wire you have in *OB is to be defined as W2, stage 2 heating. Other than that, all OK.

@Hague , Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. The way to redefine the function, is to go into Pro Setup. The. Choose the *OB wedge, and select it, then then set the function as stage 2 Heat.

I can not find Pro Setup in my thermostat settings? It seems like I’ve come across it in the past and it requires an ID number to access it. Will the furnace perform as it should without relabeling?

iI don’t see an option for equipment. I have thermostat > equipment >
aux heat lockout
Compressor lockout
heat configuration
heat pump
emergency heat
wiring
system details

I clicked on wiring and it asked if I want add or subtract wires. I clicked add and it said add “C” wire?

@Hague , what I would do is on the control board, move the Blue with to join the White wire on C. Then get the green wires not connected and place that the G where the blue wire was. Nest, at the thermostat, move the blue wire to C and pull the green wire out of the wall and place it on G. Last, turn the power back on.

Ok, bummer. Perhaps you should get the a Nest Power Adapter.

I do have a nest power adapter available for installation.
I would like to install it but not sure which wires to use given the current wire colors I have.

so I installed the power adapter

yellow to yellow inline

red to red inline

white to “C”

the HVAC unit comes on but the compressor does not. Just the fan is running. I removed the y stat on the app and restarted the thermostat and reinstalled the the device. Still just the fan running

I have connected everything as depicted in the picture and everything seems to be working except when I set the thermostat to HEAT mode and raise the temoerature the fan comes on but the furnace does not light the gas therefore no warm air

C adapter installed. Can’t turn on heat.

I installed the C adapter in my furnace and now I can’t get the heater to come on. Ac works though.

Remove your Nest Display, then remove the gray wire from W. Now make sure the bare copper wire is straight, no bends. Then reinsert the Gray Wire into the W connector as far as it will go in. Replace the display and test the heat again. Also has a test, you can touch the gray wire to the bare copper of the R wire and hold it there, if the heat comes on, then all is OK with your furnace. If the heat does not come on, there is a problem with your furnace. If you want to be able to check the furnace, use a metal paper clip and put the red and gray wires in the paper clip.
