Heat blows when system is “cooling”

My Nest Thermostat (1st generation) worked great in my last apartment. But since I moved and installed it in my new place it blows hot air when it is trying to cool. (It blows hot air when it is trying to heat as well).
I am in an apartment complex so I have limited knowledge of the systems being used.
many help would be great!

What is the make and model of your cooling and heating system, including the make and model of the fan-coil or air-handler units?
Does your HVAC system use a multi-speed or variable-speed fan?
Did you check the O/B wire configuration and try changing the O-wire to B-wire configuration or vice versa?
Are the breakers turned on?
Did you recently experience a brownout or blackout?
Did you have any construction or maintenance work done on your home?
Do you see any message or code on your thermostat?
Lastly, go to Settings > Technical Info > Power of your thermostat to gather its power readings.

- VOC
- VIN
- IIN

I don't know. I am not sure which unit outside is for my unit.

Does your HVAC system use a multi-speed or variable-speed fan?

I don't know.

Did you check the O/B wire configuration and try changing the O-wire to B-wire configuration or vice versa?

Where would I find this? I saw all the other questions on the community that refer to O/B wires but I could not find the info on my thermostat

@kbradylong, I appreciate you with the details. Big help! Could you please give these steps a whirl?

Open the Google Home app.
Tap your thermostat icon.
At the top right, tap the Settings.
Select Thermostat.
Scroll until you find Heat Pump. It should show which wire configuration is currently selected.
1. If the O option is highlighted, select B.
2. If the B option is highlighted, select O.
To make sure the issue is resolved, test your heating and cooling again.

Thank you for your reply. There is no heat pump option in the settings.
