App reporting offline low battery 3.16v

App reports offline for the last 20 days. Prior to this received low battery message on app. App reported 3.16v. This install does not have a "C" wire. Today for no reason phone app reported Nest back on line and set at ECO 82. Was the HVAC still cooling the home during those 20 days? Home has been vacant during this period

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

One way to help the Nest Thermostat save energy is to set Eco Temperatures, which users can set at any time. When Eco mode is activated, your system either calls for heat or cool to keep your home within the Eco Temperature range.

If your thermostat is automatically switched to Eco Temperatures because all Home members are away, the thermostat switches back to the previous mode when a Home member returns home. Aside from the low battery report, did you get any other power-related alerts? If so, I'd suggest installing a Nest Power Connector or a Common wire to avoid power issues in the future.
