I have a jumper between my Rh and Rc on my old thermostat. The nest app is saying that my system is not compatible. Can I just run the Rh wire to the R on the nest and call it good?

Hello folks,

I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for your assistance here, Jenelyn.

@AustinA21, the Nest Thermostats don't require a jumper wire, so you no longer have to connect them. You can follow your existing thermostat's wiring with the Red wire on the R terminal, depending on the Nest Thermostat version you have. But you might need to have a Common wire to provide constant power to the thermostat. Let us know if you have more questions.

Regards,
Mark
