The developer API - https://developers.google.com/nest/device-access/api/thermostat - has no hot water control or status, yet the (UK) 3rd generation learning thermostat provides hot water control.

As a minimum there should be support for turning hot water control off or on (scheduled)
It should have status of hot water demand - so if the hot water controls on the heat link have requested the boiler to come on due to hot water demand rather than heating demand
It would also be good to allow setting of boost heating function along with a time, 30, 60 or 120 minutes as in the Nest app.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! From what I can see that is the US version of the thermostat, the European version of the thermostat has some features that you mentioned. Regarding the API website, I suggest you contact the website for support, I can help you with technical support for the thermostat.

Thanks, Larisa

Hi Larisa,

Thanks for the reply. I raised a ticket on the API - https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/291241157 - and they said to raise a post here too. Hot water control is quite standard on UK thermostats, so it would be great to have this added to the API.
