When I tried to add a member to Google home it just gives me the option to make everyone a manager. My 13-year-old my 7-year-old why can't I just make them a user where they can't see the cameras? Or restrict them from messing with the thermostat. Certain lights, like come on!

Hi nsa1581,

That is not the answer to the question. He wanted to know how to invite people without immediately giving them administrator rights or access to all devices. He seems to know how to add people with full user rights. There are also the menu items that show you that each person has administrator rights without being able to change anything there.

Hi there,
All the home members have the same level of access. There’s no owner of the home. Any home member can remove other home members. Check out this link for more information. Our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — we'll take this as feedback. Keep your eye on the Google Nest Community page for any updates.
Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks,
Juni
